Joe McNally
Joe McNally is the Chief Executive Officer of STR-SpeechTech, a Victoria, BC-based company specializing in advanced text-to-speech systems for air traffic control and aviation broadcasting. STR has deployed over 300 StarCaster systems in more than 30 countries, serving both civil and military aviation markets, and under McNally’s leadership, the company is expanding its global reach, enhancing system capabilities, and accelerating the deployment of TTS solutions. Prior to his tenure at STR, McNally accumulated extensive experience in leadership and technology-driven solutions across the aviation sector.

Stephen Eady, Ph.D. Linguistics
Steve has been a leader in the STR team since becoming involved with STR’s predecessor, the Centre for Speech Technology Research (CSTR), to engage in Text-to-Speech research. Steve has over 30 years of experience in the development of STR’s aviation broadcast systems, which are used in Air Traffic Control Towers and Flight Service Stations around the world. In particular, he has been responsible for the design, development and deployment of the StarCaster® system. Steve’s voice has been used in STR products for over 30 years. Before STR, Steve was a research scientist at the University of Iowa. Steve is a member of ATCA and CANSO.

Systems Atlanta Inc. (SAI)
STR has partnered with Systems Atlanta Inc. for the distribution of our StarCaster® ATIS and StarCaster® RIS systems. In conjunction with SAI’s IDS5 system, our StarCaster® ATIS has been accredited for use in the U.S. Air Force and Army.
Note: StarCaster® versions 4.3.1 and 5.x are the only versions compatible for use with the US Air Force’s Airfield Automation System (AFAS) as well as the US Army’s Airfield Automation System (AAAS).
Collins Aerospace (ARINC)
Collins Aerospace, which acquired ARINC in December 2013, is actively involved in marketing the StarCaster® ATIS product into the international aviation community. Collins Aerospace is a pioneer in the development of innovative communication and aviation electronic and information management solutions for commercial and government applications, and provides its ARINC data link interface to the StarCaster® ATIS system.
