SpeakNSP™

SpeakNSP™ was developed for customers who have purchased the PDB or would like to purchase the PDB but do not own a Computerized Speech Lab (CSL). CSL is a comprehensive analysis hardware and software package used mostly in schools and clinics, and might be too complex for individuals simply interested in listening to the speech files from the PDB.

NSP is STR's proprietary audio wave file format, and is the format of the PDB speech files.

• Multiple file selection and playback of PDB files;
• Files can play directly from Windows Explorer;
• Drag and drop files into SpeakNSP™ icon to play directly.

What's unique about NSP file format:

• Data holds up to 8 channels, not just 2;
• Data sampling is the same as wav file format - 16 bit PCM;
• Has fields for holding other kinds of info, ie. comment fields.

SpeakNSP™ Installation Instructions:

• The SpeakNSP™ program is packaged as a self-extracting file called SpeakNSP.exe.
• If you are downloading our sample files we suggest you exit your browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) after you download and install SpeakNSP so their settings are updated, and then return to our PDB sample page to listen to files.
